Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said on Tuesday (16/9/2025) that the government’s new paid internship program for recent university graduates is designed to create a strong pool of digital talent to accelerate the country’s digital transformation.

“This is part of eight acceleration programs for economic growth in 2025. The digital track includes an industrial internship scheme for graduates, which is both inclusive and forward-looking,” he said at the 5th AI Innovation Summit 2025 in Jakarta, as reported by antaranews.com.

The program, supported by a budget of Rp198 billion ($12 million), will provide stipends equal to the provincial minimum wage for up to six months. It aims to absorb 20,000 participants in its first phase.

Minister Airlangga emphasized that the government launched the 2025 Economic Package as a strategy to maintain national economic growth momentum, expand employment absorption, and strengthen the investment climate amid global uncertainties.
