Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  President Prabowo Subianto and Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander General Agus Subiyanto have discussed plans to deploy an Indonesian peacekeeping contingent to Gaza, amid ongoing conflict and humanitarian concerns in the region.

“The communication between the President and the TNI Commander runs very well. Every strategic plan involving TNI deployment is always coordinated across ministries and agencies,” said Major General Freddy Ardianzah, the Head of TNI Information Center on Monday (27/10/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

He explained that any overseas deployment must be based on the President’s directive, with inter-ministerial coordination involving the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ensuring alignment with Indonesia’s non-aligned foreign policy.

While awaiting the government’s final decision, the TNI continues to prepare its forces to remain ready for a potential mission. “TNI is ready to carry out any government decision professionally and in line with Indonesia’s national interest and peace principles,” Freddy stated.

President Prabowo reiterated Indonesia’s commitment to support peace in Gaza during the 13th ASEAN–United States Summit in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, emphasizing that Indonesia stands ready to send peacekeepers where protection and peace enforcement are needed.
