inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian government has affirmed its consistent commitment to supporting world peace efforts, including in responding to the ongoing armed conflict between Iran and Israel, said the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Official.

This was conveyed by PCO Head Hasan Nasbi at his office in response to Indonesia's position on the Iran and Israel war.

"The government stance has never shifted. In every conflict, Indonesia's stance is always the same: condemning military aggression, encouraging de-escalation and a ceasefire, and calling for a resolution through diplomacy and international law," he said in his statement on Monday (6/16/2025)

He stated that the three main principles are Indonesia's official stance that has been voiced by President Prabowo Subianto in dealing with international conflict situations.

He explained that this stance does not only apply in the context of the Iran-Israel war, but also to any form of invasion or cross-country attack throughout the world.

According to Hasan, this principle is a reflection of Indonesia's commitment to global peace and respect for international law.

"President Prabowo has always been consistent. Wherever an invasion or aggression occurs, Indonesia always calls for the conflict to be immediately calmed, weapons to be stopped, and solutions to be achieved through dialogue between countries facilitated by international law," he said.

Regarding the impact of the Iran-Israel war on world oil prices, Hasan acknowledged that the government continues to monitor global developments closely.

However, he emphasized that Indonesia's main priority in responding to the conflict is to promote regional stability so that it does not have a wider impact geo politically or economically.
