Inp.polri.go.id - Lombok.  Indonesia's U-20 national football team secured a spot in the 2025 U-20 Asian Cup final after a 1-1 draw against Yemen in their third qualifying match at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on Sunday night (29/9/2024).

Coach Indra Sjafri made two changes, starting Muhamad Ragil and Figo Dennis in place of Arlyansyah Abdulmanan and Riski Afrisal. The match was intense, determining who would top the group for automatic qualification, as reported by antaranews.com.

Yemen launched an early attack, but Indonesian goalkeeper Ikram Algiffari made a crucial save in the 12th minute. Indonesia responded with a free-kick from captain Dony Tri Pamungkas, saved by Yemen's keeper.

Jens Raven scored for Indonesia in stoppage time, taking advantage of a pass from Ragil. However, Yemen equalized just before halftime due to a defensive error.

In the second half, Indonesia struggled to penetrate Yemen's defense. The match ended 1-1, allowing Indonesia to top Group F with seven points. They will compete in the final round of the U-20 Asian Cup in China from 6 to 23 February 2025.
