Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing easier access for Jordanian citizens visiting Indonesia as tourists, investors, or business actors.
“We are ready to assist if they face any difficulties,” he said on Wednesday (20/8/2025) after meeting Jordan’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Sudqi Al Omoush, in Jakarta.
Minister Yusril noted that while the Jordanian community in Indonesia is relatively small, around 200 families currently reside in the country and remain under the government’s attention. He highlighted that cooperation also extends to education, with Jordanian students studying in Indonesia and Indonesian students pursuing higher education in Jordan.
The meeting also addressed broader Middle East issues, particularly the Palestinian cause. Ambassador Al Omoush praised Indonesia’s consistent support for Palestine, while both parties emphasized that the talks served as an opportunity to strengthen bilateral ties in immigration, education, and diplomacy.
