Inp.polri.go.id - Makassar. The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs reported handling over 3 million negative online contents between October 2024 and October 2025, with online gambling dominating the list.
“From 20 October 2024 to 20 October 2025, we handled 3,053,984 harmful contents, including 2,377,283 related to online gambling and 612,618 pornographic materials, of which 8,517 involved child pornography,” said Alexander Sabar, the Director General of Digital Space Supervision, on Thursday (23/10/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
He said that safeguarding the digital ecosystem requires cross-sector collaboration involving government agencies, digital platforms, industries, and the public. He noted that tackling online gambling involves coordination with institutions such as the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK), Financial Services Authority (OJK), and law enforcement.
Sabar added that the Ministry adopts both proactive and reactive approaches through 24-hour cyber patrols, its SAMAN content moderation system, and public reporting via aduankonten.id to ensure a safer digital space for users.
