Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia's national rowing team secured two gold medals on the opening day of the 2025 Koninklijke-Holland Beker championship in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on Saturday.
The first gold came from the U-23 men’s double sculls (BM2x) event, with Febrian and Rendi Setia Maulana clocking 6:30.24. They outpaced Owen Knowles/Erwin Wiltenburg of Skadi (6:40.38) and Orca’s Jelle Kessels/Jorrit Oelderik (6:42.69).
In the lightweight men’s double sculls (LM2x), Ali Mardiansyah and Rafiq Wijdan Nasir led from start to finish, winning in 6:26.24—just 0.91 seconds ahead of fellow Indonesians Ihram and Ardi Isadi. Dutch rowers Brent ten Boom/Jordy de Boer took bronze in 6:36.80.
“They’ve shown strong progress since training in Pangalengan and continuing in the Netherlands,” said head coach Muhammad Hadris in a statement, as quoted by antaranews.com on Sunday (29/6/2025).
The event is part of the national team’s preparation for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand this December.
