Indonesian National Police Chief Issues Notification on Health Protocol Compliance during Christmas and New Year Holidays

Jakarta - The Chief of the Indonesian National Police, General Idham Azis, issued an edict numbered Mak / 4 / XII / 2020 concerning Compliance with Health Protocols in the Implementation of Christmas Holidays in 2020 and New Year 2021, December 23, 2020. " Head of the Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police, Police Inspector General Argo Yuwono, explained that the issuance of the Declaration of the Chief of the Indonesian National Police was aimed at breaking and preventing the chain of spread of the corona virus or Covid-19 during the long year-end holiday. "Yes, that's right (Announcement from the Indonesian National Police Chief). The goal is to prevent the spread of the corona virus," said Argo, Wednesday (23/12). In the Declaration of the Chief of Police of the Republic of Indonesia, compliance with the health protocol is because by considering the handling of the spread of Covid-19 nationally which has not been fully controlled and still has the potential to develop widely in society. The declaration also aims to provide protection and ensure the security and safety of the public during the Christmas 2020 and New Year 2021 holidays. Therefore, the Indonesian National Police Chief issued a statement Notice not to hold inviting meetings / activities crowds in public places such as: a. Christmas celebrations and religious activities outside places of worship; b. New Year's Eve party / celebration; c. procession, parade and carnival; d. fireworks lighting party. Whereas if an act is found which is contrary to this announcement, then every member of the Police is obliged to take the necessary action in accordance with the statutory regulations.
