Indonesian National Police Will Extend Sanctions for Turnover Vehicle During the Eid Homecoming Ban Until 24 May

The 2021 Ketupat Operation has been started from 6 May to 17, 2021, to prevent people from homecoming during the Eid holiday. It is part of the effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Director of Directorate of Traffic Management, Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Police Grand Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo explained that the extension is still being reviewed. It is planned that the 2021 Ketupat Operation will be extended until 24 May 2021. “The Ketupat Operation is finished on 17 May 2021. We are still reviewing the possibility to extend it until 24 May 2021,” as said by Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, Thursday (13 May, 21). Directorate of Traffic Management, Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police has planned to insulate and turnover all vehicles that come to Jakarta that are from outside Jakarta. Sambodo Purnomo also mentioned that there would be the possibility to add the member of joint team insulation of Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and Indonesian National Police (Polri). “So for the Eid backflow, we are still waiting for the instruction. Let us just wait, ok,” as mentioned by the Director of Directorate of Traffic Management, Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police.
