Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian national football team's improvement in the FIFA rankings, with the country now in 125th place, a jump of five spots.
Indonesia earned 1,135.11 points, adding 16.24 points in the latest rankings.
"Thank God, Indonesia's FIFA ranking continues to rise. We are now in 125th place, up five spots from before. We will continue to push for Indonesia to break into the top 100," Erick Thohir, the president of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI), said in a statement on his official Instagram on Thursday (28/11/2024), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Since his election as PSSI President in February 2023, Indonesia's ranking has steadily improved. The team was ranked 151st in December 2022. By April 2023, it had moved to 149th, briefly dropped to 150th, and later made gains to reach 125th in November 2024.
Erick raised his optimism about further progress and is focused on achieving continued success for the national team.
