inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) is targeting the construction of 1,500 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) across Indonesia. Currently, the Bhayangkara Corps has 1,376 kitchens for the Free Nutritional Meals (MBG) program.
"By 2026, the Indonesian National Police (INP) is targeting to continue the development of SPPGs until it reaches 1,500 across Indonesia," said INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
Sigit emphasized that the construction of these SPPGs aims to continue strengthening and overseeing President Prabowo Subianto's program to expand the reach of nutrition fulfillment services.
"This will have a real impact on improving public health and welfare," Sigit said.
Sigit emphasized that to meet food safety and efficacy standards, the INP's Food Service Providers (SPPG) have obtained several certificates. This is to ensure food security.
Previously, Sigit revealed that the INP currently has 1,376 SPPGs.
According to Sigit, these thousands of SPPGs consist of 736 operational SPPGs, 172 in operational preparation, and 468 under construction.
"Once all SPPGs are operational, they are projected to benefit 3.44 million people and employ 68,800 workers," Sigit concluded.
