Inspector General Prof. Dr. Dedi Prasetyo, the Human Resources Assistant for the Chief of the Indonesian National Police (INP), disclosed that he had held a discussion with the Archdiocese about the recruitment of police officers through the proactive recruitment program, also known as rekpro.

General Dedi highlighted that the rekpro has opened doors for various individuals, various individuals, including Al-Qur'an memorizers , victors of the National Hindu Religious Jamboree, Utsawa Dharma Gita champions, and Sippa Dhamma Samalla champions since 2019, in events organized by the Ministry of Religion Affairs.
"In 2023, we accept 76 hafiz [individuals who memorize the Qur'an]. There were six individuals tested at the Police Academy, three of them are hafiz. We are open to candidates from Hinduism, Buddhism, and other religions, upon endorsements from their religious leaders," he asserted.
The general concluded that participants in the selection process following the rekpro route must meet the existing general and specific requirements to join the INP.
