inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo states that the students who were victims of SMAN 72 Kelapa Gading bombing, are still in high spirits about returning to school despite the recent tragedy.
"We were pleased that when we spoke with them, they were still enthusiastic about going to school, and that's what we hope for," General Sigit told reporters after visiting the victims at the Cikini Islamic Hospital, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta, Saturday (11/8/2025).
During the visit, General Sigit stated that INP, along with several parties, would establish a trauma healing center within the school grounds. The psychological recovery program would involve the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) and psychologists to ensure the students' mental health are in good condition.
General Sigit explained that there were a total of 96 victims from the bombing incident at SMAN 72. Of these, 29 are still undergoing treatment at three hospitals, while the rest have been discharged and are receiving outpatient treatment.
"Of the initial 96 after the incident, 14 are currently being treated at Cikini Islamic Hospital, 14 at Yarsi Hospital, and one at Pertamina Hospital. This brings the total number of those still being treated to approximately 29 of the 96. The remainder were discharged yesterday and are receiving outpatient treatment," said the INP Chief.
