Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has directed all police units, from national headquarters to local levels, to follow President Prabowo Subianto’s recent instructions during a leadership retreat in Magelang, Central Java.
He ordered officers to support President Prabowo’s Astacita goals and other key government programs.
"Draft short-, medium-, and long-term plans immediately,” Chief Sigit instructed his teams on Tuesday (29/10/2024), as reported by antaranews.com.
His directives include tackling issues like online gambling, corruption, drug trafficking, and smuggling, while also focusing on safeguarding national resources.
Chief Sigit emphasized food security, announcing plans to recruit agricultural and nutrition experts into police ranks. The initiative aligns with the Free Nutritious Meals program, a government priority.
The INP Chief Assistant for Human Resources Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo confirmed that next year’s recruitment will include agricultural graduates to bolster food security efforts, adding that regional police offices will coordinate mass corn planting initiatives to support this agenda.
