Inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. Indonesian National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has instructed all police-run Nutrition Service Units (SPPG) kitchens to ensure no food poisoning cases occur in the government’s Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program.
“Show that INP-run SPPG kitchens can maintain a zero accident record,” he said during the inauguration of an SPPG facility at Semarang Sub-regional Police in Pabelan, Central Java, on Tuesday (23/9/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
Chief Sigit stressed the importance of strict food safety checks at every stage, from cooking to distribution, to guarantee meals remain hygienic and nutritious for students.
The INP have so far established 617 SPPG units nationwide, serving around 2.1 million beneficiaries and employing more than 30,000 workers. The figure is expected to rise by the end of 2025 as the program expands.
The newly launched Semarang facility will cater to nearly 4,000 students across 21 schools.
