Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has set a goal to complete 100,000 subsidized homes for police personnel by the end of 2025.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony in Karawang, West Java, on Tuesday (4/3/2025), he highlighted the program’s alignment with President Prabowo Subianto’s national initiative to construct three million homes for low-income communities.
“Housing is a fundamental need and a long-standing aspiration for our personnel,” he stated, emphasizing that this initiative will provide much-needed stability and support for police officers and their families.
The first phase of construction, comprising 14,000 houses, is already underway.
“The INP Chief’s support contributes approximately 0.5 percent to the overall three million-home target,” said Minister of Housing Maruarar Sirait, as quoted by antaranews.com
He further noted that the government is easing homeownership through zero down payments, tax exemptions, and streamlined permit approvals.
