INP Chief to Form New Four Regional Police in Papua New Autonomous Regions

inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Chief of Indonesian National Police (INP), General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, says his party has formed four new Regional Police in the New Autonomous Region in Papua. Of the four planned Regional Police, two has been passed by the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform.

“In supporting the development of the New Autonomous Region in Papua, we are establishing four new regional police in the regions,” says General Sigit on Monday (11/11/2024).

In his statement, he stated that his party is currently filling the structure of the four new regional police. General Sigit reveals the two passed new regional police are for the Central Papua Province and Southwest Papua Province.

For Central Papua, INP has acquired four hectares of land in the office center area and 30 hectares of land from a grant in Wanggar Village, Nabire Regency. Meanwhile, the West Papua Regional Police will be built in Mariat District, Sorong Regency.

For information, of the four new Regional Police prepared for Papua Province, there will be nine Sub-regional Police for Papua, seven Sub-regional Police for West Papua, eight Sub-regional Police for Central Papua, and six Sub-regional Police for Southwest Papua.
