They patrolled to ensure the security of the flood-affected area. The team, under the leadership of Inspector General Mulia Hasudungan Ritonga, deployed rescue equipment including rescue vehicles, rubber boats with motor engines, life jackets, rescue helmets, and water suction machines.
A total of 29 personnel were deployed to evacuate residents trapped in water in the Jaka Kencana Housing Complex, South Bekasi District.
In addition to carrying out evacuations, officers also distributed food supplies to residents who were still in their homes. Depok Sub-regional Metro Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Abdul Waras, also directly reviewed the flood conditions in Sawangan Baru Village, Bojongsari District.
In this area, the flood caused by the overflowing Pesanggrahan River, submerging dozens of houses with water levels reaching 150 to 200 cm. Abdul provided assistance in the form of 10 boxes of instant noodles and 10 boxes of mineral water to affected residents.
Meanwhile, the General Supervision Inspectorate of Indonesian National Police Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo says that police will continue to be present to help the community in disaster situations.
"The Indonesian National Police is committed to always being at the forefront in helping communities affected by floods. We will continue to deploy personnel and equipment needed to ensure the safety of residents and accelerate the post-flood recovery process," said Commissioner General Dedi, Wednesday (5/3/2025).
The public is also advised to remain vigilant and follow the directions of officers to avoid further risks due to this flood.
