Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesia National Police (INP)’s Criminal Investigation Agency is assisting in the case of a teenager accused of fatally stabbing his father and grandmother and injuring his mother in Cilandak, South Jakarta.
“The PPAis supporting the South Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police in handling the case,” said Brigadier General Desy Andriani, the Director of the INP Criminal Investigation Agency’s Women and Children Protection Directorate (PPA), on Monday (2/12/2024).
Psychologists from the Indonesian Forensic Psychology Association (Apsifor) have been engaged to evaluate the suspect’s mental health and provide support during the investigation. Local authorities from Jakarta’s Women and Children Protection Unit are also involved, according to antaranews.com.
The mother of the suspect, identified as MAS (14), who sustained serious injuries, is currently in the Fatmawati Hospital and will receive psychological counseling after her physical recovery. The father and grandmother were buried in separate locations.
The attack occurred early Saturday in a residential complex, where the suspect was seen fleeing the scene with blood-stained clothing.
He has been charged under Article 338 of the Criminal Code for murder, and with Article 351 for assault.
Police continue to investigate the motive behind the crime.
