Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named the Chairman of the Depok District Court, I Wayan Eka Mariarta, and Deputy Chairman Bambang Setyawan as suspects in a land dispute bribery case after a sting operation conducted on Thursday.
Investigators uncovered a scheme involving illicit payments or promises made to influence the outcome of land litigation currently being processed by the court.
"KPK has elevated this case to the investigation stage by naming five suspects, including EKA as the Chairman of the Depok District Court and BBG as the Deputy Chairman," said Asep Guntur Rahayu, the Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution at the KPK, during a press conference on Friday (6/2/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.
Alongside the court leadership, the KPK detained a bailiff and two high-ranking executives from PT KD, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Finance.
All five suspects are charged under the Anti-Corruption Law and the 2026 Criminal Code Adjustment Law. They are currently being held at the KPK’s Red and White Building detention facility for an initial 20-day period as the investigation proceeds.
