inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Identification Team of Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Unit said that they had conducted a crime scene investigation (TKP) at the location where First Police Inspector Tomi Marbun disappeared in Moskona District, Teluk Bintuni, West Papua.
"In this activity, we deployed seven personnel, and joining us was the identification team from the West Papua Regional Police led by the Director of Criminal Investigation of the West Papua Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Novia Jaya," said INP Criminal Investigation Unit officials, Superintendent dr. Adek Candra in a statement received in Jakarta, Tuesday (4/29/2025).
In addition to conducting a crime scene investigation, Adek said that the joint team also conducted a scan at the location where Tomi disappeared, took pictures and documented the area using drones.
The data that has been collected from the location will later be processed by the INP Criminal Investigation Unit.
"After we process the data, we will convey the results at the next opportunity," he said.
For information, members of the Alpha Bravo Task Force (AB) Moskona 2025 are currently carrying out a humanitarian mission operation in order to search for the whereabouts of First Police Inspector Tomi Marbun.
The former Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Teluk Bintuni was reported missing after being swept away by the current of the Rawara River, South Moskona District, during the operation to arrest Armed Criminal Group leader Marthen Aikingking on December 18, 2024.
