inp.polri.go.id - Bekasi. Metro Jaya Regional Police arrested the perpetrator of the murder of a young woman with the initials WD (21) which was carried out at a guesthouse in Cibuntu Village, Cibitung District, Bekasi Regency, West Java.

"Last night at 22.30 pm, the murderer was arrested at the Mudusari rest area. The perpetrator's initials are MA. Arrested by Metro Jaya Regional Police personnel," said Bekasi Sub-regional Metro Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Mustofa in Cikarang on Tuesday (4/29/2025).

He said the perpetrator was from Jakarta who traveled overland with the intention of fleeing out of town before finally being arrested in the Subang area.

The motive behind the killing of the victim is suspected to be jealousy or hurt after finding a photo of the victim with another man.

"He said that they were in a relationship, but we are still further looking into this case because the suspect already has a wife," Mustofa said.

The arrest of the perpetrator was the result of developing the case of the discovery of a woman's body in room number 108 of a guesthouse in Cibuntu Asem, Cibuntu Village, Bekasi Regency, West Java, Sunday (4/27/2025).

The victim is known to be a woman from Burangkeng Village, Setu District, Bekasi Regency. The condition of the victim when found was found with cuts on the arm, left wrist and neck and wounds on the stomach.

The investigation into this case began with information from the inn owner who reported the discovery of a woman's body on Sunday (27/4) at 15.00 WIB when he was about to clean the room that was rented daily.
