inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of the International Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Brigadier General Amur Chandra Juli Buana, emphasized that Indonesia will not be a safe haven for international fugitives as INP process extraditions and hand over red notice subjects to partner countries.

"We will not remain silent and will continue to hunt down criminals, both foreign nationals and Indonesian citizens, to all corners of the country," stressed Chandra on Monday (9/22/2025).

He said that throughout 2024–2025, INP through the NCB Interpol Indonesia had processed the extradition of six Indonesian citizens who were international fugitives and handed over 18 cross-border subjects to partner countries.

The presentation of the six Indonesian citizens who were international fugitives who were in the process of being extradited by Indonesia was made by the Head of the International Relations Division, Brigadier General Amur Chandra Juli Buana in a Hearing Meeting with Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR) in the Parliamentary Complex, Jakarta.

In addition, INP is active in international forums such as Interpol, ASEANAPOL, and the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime (AMMTC) to strengthen coordination of cross-border law enforcement.

Indonesia is also scheduled to host the Melanesian National Police (MSG) police ministerial meeting in Jakarta in October 2025.

He added that differences in legal systems between countries often become obstacles to cross-border law enforcement, but INP is committed to adapting and building cooperation to maintain national interests.

"International forums are an important momentum to unite a common vision in facing increasingly complex transnational crimes," said the Head of the International Relations Division.

The red notice itself is an Interpol request to member countries to help find fugitives for the extradition process, but it is not legally binding.
