inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps will seek input from a number of experts to evaluate the use of sirens and strobes on escort vehicles. This evaluation was carried out following criticism of the use of sirens and strobes.

"While we evaluate what is best. We will also involve the public and experts to discuss how the police's duties are to ensure safe, secure, orderly, and smooth traffic," explained the Head of INPTraffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho at PTIK, South Jakarta, Monday (9/22/2025).

Agus stated that escorting priority vehicles, especially on toll roads, is one of the duties that traffic police must carry out. However, the use of strobes and sirens on security vehicles will indeed be re-evaluated to maintain the security and safety of road users.

"Of course, there must also be police patrols. We will evaluate this and we thank the public that it turns out that the traffic police are also liked by the public," said Inspector General Agus

Agus and his Traffic Corps greatly appreciates the public's criticism of the use of strobes and sirens. Therefore, the use of sirens and strobes is currently temporarily suspended.
