Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) are persistently pursuing Fredy Pratama, the leader of Indonesia's biggest drug lord. Fredy, identified as the prime suspect in the ongoing investigation, has been the focus of an extensive manhunt led by the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) of the INP. "He is currently one of the top-priority fugitives on the agency list," revealed Inspector General Krishna Murti, Head of International Relations (IR) Division of the INP, on Tuesday (9/26/23). He further detailed that in the effort to arrest Fredy Pratama, the Thai police, with assistance from the INP, have formed a specialized team. Based on the latest information, Fredy's presence was indeed detected in Thailand. "A dedicated team has been assembled by Thai law enforcement. They have kept us informed, and I personally led a delegation there. Two teams have been deployed and are actively in pursuit," he affirmed. While the case is squarely under the jurisdiction of Bareskrim, he emphasized the crucial role played by the IR Division in facilitating seamless communication channels between Bareskrim, Thai law enforcement, and other international partners. "In the case of suspects abroad, our role is to facilitate, connect, and then assist and support what Bareskrim's efforts in pursuing the suspect in Thailand," he concluded. (ar/my/hn/nm)
