inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps officially launched Operation Patuh 2026 from Monday, October 26, to November 8, 2026. This operation focuses on improving public discipline, fostering a culture of orderly traffic, and reducing the number of road accidents.

The Head of INP Traffic Corps, Brigadier General Aries Syahbudin, emphasized that the operation's success is not solely measured by the number of violations prosecuted, but rather by changes in public behavior toward greater compliance with traffic regulations.

"We don't measure success by the number of enforcements, but by changes in public behavior toward greater order and compliance with traffic regulations," he said in a statement in Jakarta, Monday (10/26/2026).

Aries explained that Operation Patuh 2026 prioritizes education and a persuasive approach to boost public understanding that compliance with traffic regulations is a crucial part of protecting the safety of oneself and other road users.

During the implementation, traffic police personnel encourage the public to adopt safe driving behaviors, including wearing standard helmets, wearing seat belts, obeying traffic signs, and avoiding driving against the flow of traffic, which can potentially lead to accidents.

In addition to education, INP Traffic Corps also optimizes law enforcement against violations that endanger safety. This enforcement is carried out professionally, prioritizing the use of electronic ticketing or Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE), accompanied by road safety awareness and sympathetic warnings.

Through these measures, the police hope that the public will increasingly understand the importance of obeying the rules, not just to avoid sanctions, but also to maintain everyone's safety.

INP Traffic Corps also urges all road users to remain disciplined even though Operation Patuh 2026 has ended. It is hoped that this awareness of orderly driving will become a daily habit, thereby creating safe, orderly, and smooth traffic.
