inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police continues to strengthen efforts to prevent bullying in schools through the Police Care for Education program. This time, the Directorate of Women and Children Protection and Human Trafficking Crimes of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police visited Rawa Barat 09 Elementary School in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Monday (10/26/2026).
During the activity, the Director of Women and Children Protection and Human Trafficking Crimes, Senior Superintendent Rita Wulandari Wibowo, led the flag-raising ceremony. She reminded students to respect each other, refrain from bullying, and maintain good relationships with their peers at school.
Rita also encouraged students to speak up and report to teachers or parents if they experience or witness acts of bullying or violence. Children were also reminded to recognize their personal boundaries and to immediately seek help if they were sexually harassed.
"Children must have the courage to say no to actions that make them uncomfortable or feel threatened. If they experience or witness bullying or violence, immediately report it to a teacher or parent so they can receive help and protection," said Rita.
She explained that the Police Care for Education program aims to boost children's understanding of bullying prevention, self-protection, and the importance of building a safe and respectful school environment.
After the ceremony, the activity continued with interactive education with fifth and sixth grade students. The students were invited to discuss and answer questions about national insight, Pancasila values, traffic safety, and an introduction to police duties.
During the traffic safety session, students were reminded of the importance of wearing helmets when riding motorcycles. The educational topic was presented interactively to ensure it was easy to understand and applicable to everyday life.
The atmosphere at the event was lively as several students successfully answered questions and recalled the messages conveyed during the ceremony. As a token of appreciation, the police presented prizes to students who actively participated.
The principal of SDN Rawa Barat 09 Pagi, Lasma Manurung, also attended the event. He also interacted with fifth-grade students, specifically introducing them to the role and duties of the police in the community.
Through this program, the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police hopes that students will gain a deeper understanding of the importance of respecting others, protecting themselves from violence, and having the courage to seek help when faced with situations that threaten their safety.
