Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Jakarta’s Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy Office issued a Circular on Sunday (31/8/2025), urging companies to implement work-from-home (WFH) arrangements in response to mass demonstrations across the capital.
The advisory aims to reduce potential disruption to business operations and employee mobility during protests.
“This recommendation is situational and not mandatory. Companies are encouraged to adjust based on operational needs,” said Chico Hakim, a Special Staff to the Governor and Deputy Governor for Public Communication., as quoted by antaranews.com
He added that businesses with round-the-clock operations or direct service to the public may adopt a hybrid model combining WFH and work-from-office (WFO).
The Manpower Office confirmed that the advisory has been communicated to employers’ associations such as APINDO and KADIN, as well as industrial relations mediators.
Companies applying WFH are requested to report through a dedicated online link provided by the agency. Monitoring will be carried out to ensure smooth implementation while keeping essential economic activities running.
