Inp.polri.go.id - Langsa. A joint operation between Customs Office and the Indonesian National Police (INP) has foiled the smuggling of 86 kilograms of crystal meth in Langsa, Aceh.
“The team intercepted four sacks containing 82 packages of methamphetamine, weighing a total of 86 kilograms, and arrested one suspect, identified as MR alias E,” said Langsa Customs Office Head Sulaiman during a press briefing on Wednesday (21/5/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The operation began after authorities received intelligence about a meth shipment from Malaysia via Aceh’s coastal waters. A joint task force comprising the INP’s Criminal Investigation Agency, Customs Office’s Narcotics Interdiction Directorate, Aceh Customs Office, Langsa Police, and Langsa Customs Office followed up with surveillance and field investigations.
Suspect MR, believed to be the boat operator, was arrested in West Langsa. His statement led officers to a stash site in the Sungai Pauh fish farm area.
