Inp.polri.go.id - Bandarlampung. Joint forces from the Indonesian Military (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (INP) have conducted large-scale patrols in Bandarlampung in anticipation of the presidential inauguration scheduled for Sunday.

"The purpose of these patrols is for the safety and security of the city," said Bandarlampung Sub-regional Police Chief Senior Superintedent Abdul Waras, noting that the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) will assist, and patrols will also be carried out at the village level.

Officers are focusing on key areas, including shopping centers, government offices, and crowded locations, he said on Saturday (19/10/2024).

"These patrols will continue day and night until the inauguration is complete," Chief Abdul said, as reported by antaranews.com.

Lampung Regional Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Umi Fadilah Astutik praised the collaboration between TNI and INP.

“We assure that all areas in Lampung are under close surveillance to ensure a smooth inauguration," she said.

Chief Umi urged the public to stay calm and avoid rumors that could incite unrest.

“We encourage the community to support security efforts and report any suspicious activities," she said.
