inp.polri.go.id – President of the Republic of Indonesia Ir. H. Joko Widodo invited the Emperor of Japan, Naruhito, and Empress Masako to visit Indonesia. The invitation was made when Jokowi visited the Imperial Palace of Japan in Tokyo on Wednesday (27/7/22). "I will be waiting[Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako] in Indonesia, Your Majesty," Jokowi said in an official statement after the meeting. Naruhito welcomed Jokowi's invitation and thanked him for the invitation. "Thank you, I wish you happiness and success, Mr. President," said Naruhito. Jokowi previously was welcomed warmly when he arrived in front of Naruhito's residence. "Welcome, I am very happy to meet you again, Mr. Jokowi," said Naruhito. Jokowi then responded, "Your Excellency, thank you for the welcome." Jokowi and Emperor Naruhito look compatible in suits, each in dark blue and black. Meanwhile, Empress Masako was wearing a traditional Japanese kimono, while First Lady Iriana was wearing a kebaya and batik cloth. The colors of Masako's kimono and Iriana's kebaya are also compatible, which is white and gray. Jokowi and Naruhito then having a conversation for about 30 minutes. Before visiting the Emperor of Japan, Jokowi first visited the Prime Minister's Office to meet PM Fumio Kishida. They discussed a number of issues ranging from economic to defense cooperation. In addition, Jokowi and Kishida also mentioned the G20 event. The President of Indonesia hopes that the PM can attend the peak event of the economic forum in Bali, next November.
