Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. The Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation of Papua held a one-day training on food safety for 34 kitchen staff from the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) kitchens Gurabesi in Jayapura City, Papua.
Kamala Bhayangkari is an organization of police officers’ spouses engaged in social and educational causes,
“Food safety covers every stage, from sourcing ingredients, checking quality, proper storage, hygienic preparation, cooking, packaging, and distribution to final reporting,” said Papua Regional Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Cahyo Sukarnito on Saturday (23/8/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
He said that the training also addressed the importance of balanced nutrition, proper waste management, and compliance with sanitation standards.
Participants were guided through best practices, including the necessity of hygiene sanitation certification and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
According to Jayapura Health Office representative Jelly Vanny Seran, all staff are required to wear masks, head covers, gloves, and special uniforms to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety.
