inp.polri.go.id - Sinak. The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Papua inflicted another terror by shooting and burning the Sinak 1 Senior High School on Wednesday (10/9/2024) at 19.20 local time.

Head of Puncak Sub-regional Police, Police Assistant Superintendent I Nyoman Punia says that during the incident, his members saw the group of Kalenak Murib.

“When the fire was still raging, and the group wildly shot their guns, our members saw that they were from the group of Kalenak Murib,” says I Nyoman Murib on Thursday (10/10/2024).

The police chief says that when the fire starts to spread to other parts of the building, his personnel begin to take their position. However, not long after, the fire subsided and no gunshots were heard anymore.

Furthermore, Punia believes that the burning of the school building stems from miscommunication. As of now, the situation in Sinak is on alert.
