inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) member Yusuf stated that the commission aims to receive public complaints and grievances digitally by 2026.
"By 2026, Kompolnas' target is to be 100 percent digital in receiving and processing public complaints, as it is more effective and efficient," said Kompolnas member Yusuf on Monday (11/5/2025).
He stated that by receiving complaints digitally, the follow-up process is expected to be faster, from the previous 21 days to 11-14 days.
"In fact, it could be even shorter, possibly 11 days if we use an electronic or digital system for receiving and processing public complaints," he said.
This digital system will be called e-SKM (Public Suggestions and Complaints). The public will simply register their identity, submit their complaint, and attach supporting documents to the report.
Kompolnas also aims to strengthen its independence by 2026. Kompolnas member Mochammad Choirul Anam stated that the idea to strengthen Kompolnas' independence had actually been around for a long time.
At the end of 2025, Kompolnas decided to move its offices from the STIK-PTIK Polri complex to a building in the Pancoran area of South Jakarta, as a way to strengthen the institution's independence.
"So, one of the reasons for moving offices is, yes, the public's criticism is: if Kompolnas wants to be independent, how can its office be in a police complex?" he said.
This office relocation is expected to create a more representative, professional, and independent work environment, making Kompolnas more effective in carrying out its strategic role as a more independent functional police oversight agency.
