Pandean Tourism Village is one of the tourist villages that is included in the top 50 of the 2022 Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI). “I want to congratulate Pandean Tourism Village because out of 3500 villages, Pandean Village is in the top 50. This tourist village, which is only one-year old, has turned out to be having produced extraordinary achievements, "explained Menparekraf Sandiaga during his visit to Pandean Tourism Village, Trenggalek. This tourist village has the Kanang River, which is perfect for river tubing. Along the path of the river there are large stones surrounded by shady trees. Not far from the finish line, there is also a 3-level waterfall for canyoning activities. Not only that, Pandean Tourism Village also has their own unique art, namely Kothekan Lesung, which has existed since the colonial era. Usually, this art is played by elderly mothers. There is also Terbangan Ello, an art that is already rare, using a tool such as a tambourine. “The nature is beautiful and there is a river with river tubing. This tourism must be developed, because it has the potential to attract more tourists. We also have to preserve the traditional arts of this village," stated the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy. On that occasion, Menparekraf also tested out a solar electric car made from Trenggalek and hoped that in the future Kemenparekraf could collaborate with them to develop the domestic products. "Hopefully this is the start of a good collaboration. I see that in the future, tourists in Pandean Tourism Village can try out the sensation of a car created by the Trenggalek youth," he hoped. Meanwhile, the Regent of Trenggalek, Mochamad Nur Arifin, said that his party would continue to develop the Pandean Tourism Village to stimulate the regional economy. "In my opinion, this economic revival can come from the village, which at the same time it’s benefit can be felt by the community," he explained.
