The Search and Rescue (SAR) Team from Battalion A Pioneer of the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) Unit assisted fire fighting and cooling operations following a fire at the Pasar Asemka area in Roa Malaka, Tambora, West Jakarta, on Monday (14/9/2026). 

The fire originated in a textile warehouse before spreading to adjacent shop-houses.

To support suppression efforts alongside local fire department crews, Brimob officers deployed an Armored Water Cannon (AWC) unit to the scene.

"Every report from the community must be acted upon immediately," said Metro Jaya Police Brimob Commander Senior Superintendent Henik Maryanto. "Officers in the field continue to coordinate with relevant agencies to ensure the situation remains safe and controlled."

By the time Brimob teams arrived around 4 pm, active flames were controlled, allowing personnel to assist in cooling operations to prevent reignition. Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto confirmed that the fire was likely caused by an electrical short circuit. No casualties or injuries were reported, and the surrounding area remains secure.
