Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metropolitan Police have confirmed full operational readiness to provide security and public services during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year holiday period, following extensive field inspections across the capital on Monday (22/12/2025).
Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri led inspections at security and service posts, transportation hubs, and churches from morning until late evening.
“The purpose of today’s inspections is to ensure all personnel are fully prepared to deliver the best possible service to the public during Nataru,” said Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The inspections covered Gambir and Senen railway stations, Pulogebang Bus Terminal, toll road posts, and several churches, including Santo Andreas Kim Tae Gon Church in North Jakarta. Police also emphasized protection for Christmas worship services and increased patrols in residential areas left vacant by holiday travelers.
A total of 5,044 officers from theIpPolice, the military, and the Jakarta administration have been deployed. Police urged the public to remain vigilant and contact emergency service 110 if assistance is needed.
