Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police received a complaint regarding a Saturday disturbance during the discussion of the Indonesian Military (TNI) bill by the House of Representatives (DPR) Working Committee in Central Jakarta.
"We received a complaint alleging public order disruption, coercion with threats of violence, and insult against an authority or legal entity in Indonesia," said Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi on Sunday (16/3/2025).
The complaint was filed by RYR, a security officer at the Fairmont Hotel, identified as RYR, where the meeting took place. Around 6 pm on Saturday, three persons claiming to represent the Civil Society Coalition entered the venue, demanding the meeting be halted due to its closed-door nature.
One of them, identified as Andrie Yunus from KontraS, a civil society organization, criticized the lack of transparency and public participation in the discussion. Security promptly removed the protesters from the meeting room, according to antaranews.com.
