Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Metro Jaya Regional Police has exterminated seized drugs compiled from 15 days of 2024 Nila Jaya Operation. The operation was held from July 3rd - 17th, 2024.

The Drug Criminal Investigation Director, Senior Superintendent Donald P Simanjuntak says the seized drugs are 164.98 kg of methamphetamine, 58 kg of weed, and 17,905 ecstasy pills. The drugs were seized from 480 suspects with 267 of them being the drug dealers and 213 as the users.

“We will burn them with incinerators in Gatot Subroto Central Army Hospital,” said the director on Thursday (8/18/2024).

He explains that the Nila Jaya Operation has uncovered 368 cases with 50 target suspects having been arrested.

Police estimated that from this drug uncovering, they have saved thousands of lives from the dangers of the drugs.

“If we let these drugs circulate and be consumed by the public, it would at least endanger 958,985 lives,” explains Simanjuntak.
