Inp.polri.go.id - Tangerang.  Minister of Migrant Worker Protection Abdul Kadir Karding has urged South Korean authorities to launch a thorough investigation into the death of Ngadiman, a migrant worker from Cilacap, Central Java, who died in a workplace accident in Cheongwon.

“The company is being investigated by Korean authorities. We want to ensure this case is pursued, especially since there are indications of negligence in worker safety,” he said on Sunday (29/6/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

Ngadiman, who joined South Korea’s metal manufacturing sector through a G2G scheme in October 2024, died on 25 June 2025 after being pulled into a conveyor machine he was cleaning. He succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. His body was repatriated to Indonesia on Sunday.

Minister Karding confirmed the government is handling funeral arrangements and ensuring all employment entitlements are fulfilled. State insurance BPJS has provided Rp 213 million in death benefits and scholarships for Ngadiman’s two children.
