Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD encourage migrant workers to also cast their vote for the 2024 General Election.
“It is a huge loss if you decide to abstain. It is better to cast your vote to the candidates who you consider to care for the migrant workers,” says Mahfud on Wednesday (12/20/2023).
According to Mahfud, Indonesia has an election system that allows their migrant workers who work in 115 foreign countries to vote.
“Migrant workers of Indonesia have the right to be facilitated to vote in the election,” adds Mahfud.
Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Agency (BP2MI) reports there are 257,460 Indonesian migrant workers as of November 2023.
