inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The government, through the Ministry of Manpower has confirmed that the distribution of wage subsidy assistance (BSU) is still ongoing.
The Director General of Industrial Relations and Social Security at the Ministry of Manpower, Indah Anggoro Putri, stated that the BSU is expected to maintain workers' purchasing power amidst economic pressures and stimulate national economic growth.
"We want to ensure that workers maintain purchasing power so that household consumption continues to grow," said Director General Indah on Wednesday (7/16/2025).
The BSU will be provided for two months, covering June and July 2025, and will be paid in a single lump sum of IDR 600,000.
"This BSU is not just cash assistance, but a concrete manifestation of the state's presence in protecting workers and driving the economy," said Director General Indah.
She explained that the BSU distribution will be carried out through Himbara banks, Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), and PT Pos Indonesia, in a phased manner.
As of today, 22.8 percent of the first phase has been distributed, followed with 13.99 percent of the second phase, 30.33 percent of the third phase, and 15.49 percent of the fourth phase.
Overall, 82.69 percent of the BSU (Subsistence Social Assistance) has been distributed, and the distribution process is still ongoing through PT Pos Indonesia.
"We continue to strive to expedite the distribution of BSU so that this assistance reaches the workers in need as soon as possible. We continue to intensify coordination with the distributing banks and PT Pos Indonesia to ensure the distribution process runs smoothly and reaches its intended targets," said Director General Indah.
