Inp.polri.go.id - Batam.  The Ministry of Youth and Sports has confirmed its supports to the Aquabike Jetski World Championship 2024 at Lake Toba in North Sumatra from 13 to 17  November 2024.

"We are prepared to support this event.  LPDUK is ready to implement our plans," Youth and Sports Minister Dito announced on Friday (1/11/2024), referring to the Sports Fund and Business Management Agency.

The minister noted that the ministry has previously worked with InJourney, the state-owned company that organizes it, on major events, including last year’s Aquabike World Championship.

Maya Watono, the Acting CEO of InJourney, explained that the championship aims to boost Indonesia's tourism sector. InJourney focuses on developing key destinations such as Borobudur, Mandalika, Labuan Bajo, and Lake Toba.

The championship will feature competitions in four districts around Lake Toba—Karo, Samosir, Simalungun, and Dairi—and is expected to attract 90 international jet ski athletes, and 10 from Indonesia.
