Mobile Brigade Unit of South Sulawesi Regional Police deployed personnel led by Chief of Operation Agency of Mobile Brigade Unit of South Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Commissioner Mursalim, to evacuate flood victims in the Katimbang subdistrict, Biringkanaya district, Makassar, on Tuesday (7/12/21). Chief of Operations Agency addressed the activities, which are to evacuate flood victims and search and pick up the flood victims from the location, house to house. "We from the Search and Rescue personnel of Mobile Brigade Unit of South Sulawesi Regional Police and other SAR potential colleagues evacuated and picked up flood victims from house to house, and put them at the unflooded houses before we brought them to the Command Post using the Mobile Brigade trucks", the Chief of Operations Agency said. "We evacuated flood victims using jerry cans boat made by personnel of Mobile Brigade Unit of South Sulawesi Regional Police for evacuating flood victims", he said. Unit Commander of Mobile Brigade Unit of South Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Muhammad Anis, confirmed the activities. "It is true that we got people's reports that they need help due to flood caused by high rainfall in Makassar", he said. "Around 00.25, we deployed personnel to help evacuate people in the Katimbang subdistrict, Panakkukang district. This is our form of care towards the community and also the form of state's and Mobile Brigade presence for the public", he concluded.
