inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Maman Abdurrahman, stated that the increase in non-subsidized fuel prices will not affect MSMEs.
He explained that the majority of MSMEs use subsidized fuels, such as subsidized diesel, Pertalite, and 3-kg LPG, whose prices remain stable with the government.
"In the context of energy fuels, fuel prices should not be affected. Almost all MSMEs use subsidized fuel," said Maman on Monday (4/27/2026).
He added that the policy of maintaining subsidized fuel prices is an important step for the government amidst global uncertainty caused by the Middle East conflict. Maman emphasized that under these conditions, MSMEs will not be affected by the increase in non-subsidized fuel prices.
However, he acknowledged that the most common complaint his ministry has received concerns the increase in plastic prices, triggered by disruptions in naphtha supplies from the Middle East.
He stated that the government is currently seeking alternative supplies from other regions.
"We have coordinated with the Ministry of Trade to shift or reduce dependence on naphtha supplies from the Middle East to India, Africa, and the Americas," said Maman.
