Tribratanews.polri.go.id. – Jakarta. Counterterrorism Special Detachment 88 (Densus 88) discovers Syam Organizer, one of the foundations owned by the Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) terrorist network. The foundation was tasked with crowdfunding for operations conducted by JI. Syam Organizer is a humanitarian charity foundation to attract public sympathy. "The Syam Organizer Foundation was headquartered in Yogyakarta Special Region. It is affiliated with JI", Chief of General Information Agency of PR and Press Division of the National Police, Police Grand Commissioner Ahmad Ramadhan, said. The foundation was deliberately established to avoid personnel suspicion, and every activity of them are disguised as humanitarian actions. By attracting public sympathy, the foundation could crowdfund from the public. One of the issues that always brought by the Syam Organizer is related to humanitarian events in Palestine. "The form of crowdfunding for the Syam Organizer is 'Water for Some' to drop clean water for Palestine, and they claimed to have three water wells in Syria. Moreover, Syam Organizer also often brings other Palestine issues such as home development in Syria". Chief of General Information Agency of PR and Press Division of the National Police concluded.
