National Police: Terrorist Suspect from Tasikmalaya Pledged Alliance to ISIS in 2019

Chief of General Information Department of PR and Press Division of Indonesian National Police, Police Grand Commissioner Ahmad Ramadhan, explained that terrorist suspects arrested by Counterterrorism Special Detachment 88 in Tasikmalaya had pledged alliance to the banned organisation of Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). Police Grand Commissioner Ahmad Ramadhan said that the terrorist suspect initialled DR a.k.a AQD is a Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) member in West Java. "We captured one person initialled DR a.k.a AQD on Friday at 13.00 in Linggajaya village, Mangkubumi district, Tasikmalaya", the middle officer of PR and Press Division of Indonesian National Police said on Saturday (19/06/2021). Chief of General Information Department of PR and Press Division of Indonesian National Police said that DR is a member of JAD under the lead of T, which have been arrested. DR also suspiciously involved in "i'dad", or terror action training in Galunggung mountain with other three JAD terrorists, initialled BRK, AF, and RA. "The last one, he takes a role in forming RQ Sabilunajah, initiated by T", the 1991 Armed Forces Academy Graduate said. Previously, Counterterrorism Special Detachment 88 arrested four terrorist suspects from Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) in several areas in West Java. On June 16, 2021, in Pangandaran, three terrorist suspects initialled T a.k.a AU, RAH a.k.a BM, and SU a.k.a SUK. One terrorist later arrested in Tasikmalaya, initialled DR, a.k.a AQD.
