North Sumatra Regional Police Chief Monitors the Situation on Jesus Christ Ascension Day Commemoration

Inp.polri.go.id – North Sulawesi. The North Sulawesi Regional Police and ranks held security operations at churches for the safety of Christians and Catholics commemorating the Ascension Day of Jesus Christ on Thursday (5/9/2024).

The security operation was directly monitored by the North Sulawesi Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Yudhiawan and key officials.

“Today, the police chief directly monitors the security situation in churches commemorating the Ascension Day of Jesus Christ in Manado City,” said Head of North Sulawesi Regional Police Public Relations Division, Senior Superintendent Michael Irwan Thamsil.

There are five churches directly visited by the police chief. They're Saint Joseph Kleak Catholic Church, Bethesda Ranotana Church, GMIM Imanuel Wanea Church, GMIM Sentrum Church and Samrat Central GPDI Church.

“In general, the commemoration of Jesus Christ Ascension Day is going smoothly and safely as the security situation remains conducive. This is thanks to the people who support us in maintaining the security and order situation in the area,” Michael says, thanking the public.
