inp.polri.go.id – Medan. The North Sumatra Regional Police held an activity entitled "Care for Tough Indonesian Children" held at the Tribrata Hall of the North Sumatra Regional Police. This was done to provide psychosocial support for children affected by Covid-19 by providing educational scholarships, Tuesday (11/02).
The event was also attended by the North Sumatra Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector-General R.Z. Panca Putra Simanjuntak, Military Commander I/BB Major General Hasanuddin, and North Sumatra Governor Edy Rahmayadi, Tuesday (11/02).
The North Sumatra Regional Police Chief explained that as many as 110 children who received psychological attention must be considered because many of the parents of these children died due to the impact of Covid-19.
"Today, we are holding a centralized and national event for psychological and psychological support for children who have had the unfortunate fate of being abandoned by their parents," explained the North Sumatra Regional Police Chief.
"Especially for the North Sumatra Regional Police and North Sumatra Province together with the Governor and the Regional Military Commander to carry out this activity. There are 110 children whose parents have left; of the 110, 10 are orphans," explained the North Sumatra Regional Police Chief.
The two-star general also explained that this activity is a part of a series to build children's spirits and motivate them.
"We will pay attention to them and help their schools until they finish their education to achieve their goals. This is the assistance that we provide, "explained the North Sumatra Regional Police Chief.
