Inp.polri.go.id – North Sumatra. North Sumatra Regional Police held a traffic simulation in Balige City ahead of the upcoming F1 Powerboat World Championship on Lake Toba.
“For the four and six wheeled vehicles from Taput will be diverted to Balige bypass,” said the North Sumatra Regional Police PR Chief, Senior Superintendent Hadi Wahyudi on Thursday (2/29/2024).
“From Simpang Tambunan to Simpang Kompi will be applied two ways. Then from Simpang Kompi to Simpang Longat will be applied one way,” said Hadi.
Furthermore, throughout the streets in Balige City from Simpang Juara Monang to Simpang Longat will be forbidden for vehicles to park at the roadside.
“Throughout the event of F1 Powerboat, there will be 10 public parking lots prepared for the public,” said the PR Chief.
In addition, he stated that the diversion and traffic engineering in Simpang Longat will be applied from 06.00 am until the event is over.
“For the six-wheeled vehicle from Medan/Parapat will be diverted to Balige Bypass,” he said. Hadi states all this effort is to ensure the traffic flow during the international event remain smooth as people continue to do their daily activities.
